Invitation to new players, end of first ladder season

Today, we welcome new players to come and enjoy Warcraft II on server.war2.ru. We will be celebrating the end of the first ladder season, and we hope to have many old players and new ones online for lots of gaming action. Many players have been invited to return to the game today for this event. We hope the small download and free server encourage many people to show up.

Congratulations goes to Viruz_ for winning the first ladder season by a wide margin and breaking the 1400 mark to post a rating of 1406. Coming in second was -sex-, an alternate account also belonging to Viruz, and in third was ~MoG, aka Lux. LIMACUNTTI and foonat rounded out the top five. All the top 13 individuals in these ladder rankings will automatically be entered into an end of season tournament later this month

First off thanks again everyone for making this first week of Ladder such a success. We have had numerous people with the #1 spot so far!

Now I want to get onto the news with how this season will end. Since the first one is such a short one I figured it would be neccesary.

What is going to happen is the Top 13 players ranked in ladder will be qualified to enter the GOW $$ Tournament on December 23rd. There will be two other qualifying Tournaments. On December 9th there will be a 2x2 GOW BNE High Fastest tournament where the team who wins will advance into the $$ Tournament. Then on December 16th there will be a 1x1 Tournament on GOW EF High Classic settings. Winner of that Tournament will also advance into the GOW $$ Tournament.

So what does this mean? Try your best to ladder and work your way up the rankings!

Note: At the end of the season if you are around ranks 14-25 be sure to show up. Incase someone does not show up we will move you into his place (highest rated will move in first) until we fill up the 16 brackets.

Starting November 1st we will be starting our first Ladder Season on http://server.war2.ru ! The first one will be rather short lasting until December 4th, the day that Blizzard Created Warcraft 2.

How Ladder is played: All top vs. bottom games will go towards your Ladder Record. You must have a even amount of players on each team.

One vs. One settings will also count towards ladder record.

RULES:

1. No abuse. No giving out free wins or your account will be locked and you will be banned

2. CAUGHT Hacking will also get you banned from the server.

3. Playing on Custom made maps without Resource management like Free Castles or 1 Alleria will also get you banned. Please report maps you see like this and who hosted them.
