To fix the latency issue that doesn't allow people to join your games:
If you do not know your router information start here:
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Router information:
* Go to the Start Menu, and select Run.
* Type cmd.
* In the new window, type /ipconfig
* Note the number under "IP Address" and under "Default Gateway."
* In your internet browser, go to the address found under the Default Gateway (e.g., http://192.168.1.1).
* Enter your username and password. The default name and password is usually "admin," and you find the default information on the Internet by looking up your router brand and model, or in your router instructions. If the default password has been changed to something unknown, you can reset the router to factory default settings by pressing the small button on the router.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Step 1
1. Start > Programs > Accessories > Command Prompt
Step 2
2. Type ipconfig and write down your IP Address
Step 3
3. Load Internet Explorer and open your router's settings.
*The default for linksys routers is 192.168.1.1 (type yours into the address bar)
*Default login/pw: leave login blank and type admin in password field.
Also if this does not work try putting in the password you use to log into your computer
Type http:// (your ip number) into web browser
Step 4
4. Click Applications and Gaming tab
Step 5
5. On top row:
Application = War2
Start = 6112, End = 6119
Protocol = Both
IP address = whatever you copied down from command prompt earlier
Check enable
Row 2 is all the same except:
Start = 4000
End = 4000
Step 6
6. Click on DMZ and then click enable, and then finish filling in the ip. When you are all done click save settings.
GO HOST!
